About the founders
Rachel is a chartered engineer with 30 years experience in the energy sector, ranging from operations through consulting and project management. She project managed the HoTTWind@Longley Community Wind Project, developing the partnership agreement with Longley Farm, engaging community investors to raise over £600k, working with Kirklees planners and managing the construction project.
She and her children are involved in many of the musical activities formerly hosted at Hope Bank Works.
Chris has a wide-ranging expertise in looking after all kinds of high net worth individuals. He entered the financial services industry in 1981 with a position at Legal & General, before moving to Torevell Mahon Granville as an adviser in 1987. He became a shareholding director of Dewhurst Torevell in 1998 and, like his fellow co-directors, established Five Wealth in 2016.
Chris is married with two children and one grandchild, and enjoys church bell ringing.
Chris is a chartered surveyor/estate manager, with experience in general commercial, rating and a keen interest in historic buildings.
He is currently Estates Manager for J&E Dickinson (Longley Farm), a mixed use farming estate in Yorkshire, where he is involved in restorations, design and build, leasing, countryside habitat and woodland management. His role encompasses seeking property and business opportunities that complement Longley’s operations and ethos.
Activity Leaders and Volunteers
The three founders would also like to thank the activity leaders from Hope Bank Works for their support and Margaret Dale who has been a font of information on previous bids for the Adult Education Building.
In the coming weeks we will be seeking volunteers to help with all aspects of setting up the Community Benefit Society and operating the community centre. We will need lots of help and support to make this happen.
