As Holmfirth's Community Anchor, we have been playing our part to do what is needed to help the people of Holmfirth and the Holme Valley get through Covid 19. We have offered support to many people and we are really grateful to have received these two thank yous from very different quarters.
The first is from an organisation that we had to research - Ed Anderson, Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire thanking the team at The Tech "for providing an outstanding service to the community during the Covid 19 crisis"
Just to let you know that the West Yorkshire Lieutenancy is the person appointed by the queen to represent her in the region - you can read more here http://www.westyorkshirelieutenancy.org.uk/
The second is from New Mill School where one of the families received £400 from the Holme Valley Hardship Fund to buy a new cooker and it reads:
" To Sarah and all at Holme Valley Mutual Aid,
On behalf of the family and New Mill Infant and Junior Schools, I would like to express our gratitude for the generous donation that helped buy a cooker for someone less fortunate than ourselves. It has made my job so fulfilling. Thank you.
Dawn Bedford, Wellbeing Mentor, New Mill Infant and Junior Schools."
We wanted to say that everything that we have done has been a real team effort, It's brilliant for that effort to be recognised at both local and higher levels.
We wanted to share this with you and to say a big thank you to all of our volunteers. Please share.
